Michael Mah’s Excited…by Michael Mah, Senior Consultant…because I just finished a walkthrough with Anne Mullaney on a special Cutter webinar that we’re running Thu Nov 15th at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm entitled, “Compared to What? A Look at Application Development Metrics”. I was thrilled at the preview of the webinar look and feel. We’re going to feature highlights of IT industry observations being published in our newly released “Cutter Benchmark Almanac, Application Development Series 2007-2008.” This research report is the result of an exciting collaboration between Cutter and QSM, combining QSM’s leading edge research on the software industry PLUS analysis by Cutter authors on topics like agile methods, risk management, software testing, outsourcing, and project estimation. These authors include [yours truly] as well as Tom DeMarco, Tim Lister, Elli Bennatan, Jim Highsmith, and others. What’s especially exciting for me is the blending of these minds in this report. It’s been one of my deepest privileges to be working with Larry Putnam Sr. as part of my bfing on the QSM team. Writing on topics like Agile Methods, Outsourcing, Benchmarking, and being part of the Cutter team has also been a highlight of my career. This Almanac report is like the blending of two great flavors - QSM and Cutter… not unlike a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. (Chocolate in your peanut butter, or peanut butter in your chocolate Join us tomorrow at 11:30am. Perhaps we’ll see you there! Cheers, Michael P.S. If you can’t make this event, I have another webinar the next day on “Agile Productivity Findings at 5 Companies”, which is being hosted by CAI and the IT Metrics and Productivity Institute. See the writeup I’ve posted here on my blog. ———————————- Compared to What? A Look at Application Development Metrics - with Michael Mah How much will your next software development project cost?
